· Am I the only asshole here who is shocked and appalled by the shit going on in Myanmar? The cyclone was a terrible thing, a tragedy, but it was an act of nature. Not to sound cold, but shit happens. This thing was going to spin up and slam into the delta region of Myanmar, and nothing would have stopped it. But this bullshit about refusing UN aid and seizing supplies? Gang, we are talking crimes against humanity as far as I am concerned. Why are we, as a nation and as the UN, playing diplomatic fiddly-fuck with these little military puddles of piss calling themselves the Junta of Myanmar? Explain this to me.

My solution? Bring the C130’s in, under protection of Army Apache attack helicopters. Deploy United States Marines to secure and maintain the airfields, and to insure safe convoys of supplies. Get the food, medicine, and aid workers airlifted into the zones where they are needed. Deploy United States Navy SEALs (still the meanest motherfuckers in the valley) to insure security of medical aid workers. Deploy bombers to circle Myanmar, and have them light up every military and government installation like Christmas trees with their targeting radar, just to let these pricks know we are here. Get the Army Corp of Engineers over there to get shelters, hospitals, and other necessary facilities thrown up as quick as possible.

Any act to thwart or interfere with these efforts should be met with massive deadly force. These are military bullies we are dealing with here. Trust me, they will get the message very quickly.

And in the meantime, inform the other nations of the world that the government of Myanmar can no longer be recognized as a legitimate one, and that other nations should either help, or step aside.

And never mind worrying about our image. Let’s not bullshit one another, the goat-fuck that is Iraq has tarnished us pretty badly in the eyes of the world. But we have the best trained, equipped, sized, and readied military machine on the planet. Our ability to project power is second to none. Take off the white gloves, and let’s do some good with it, and for a change, forget the world opinion, just worry about what is right.
